November Meeting Notes:

We had a very successful canvass for CNIB!

Thanks to those who supported our Halloween Dance! It was a success with a small number participating!

December 2 is our Christmas Party. We will have our meeting and then playgames and have supper. Please remember to bring a gift for the gift exchange. The limit for the gifts is $2.25.

January 6 is speeches. Everyone will be saying their speech after the regular general meeting. Everyone is welcome to join us for this event.

Speech Time Limit are as follows:
Junior (ages 8 - 11) 2 - 3 minutes
Intermediate (ages 12 - 14) 3 -5 minutes
Senior (age 15 & over) 5 - 7 minutes

Please remember that if you have a prop of any kind (picture to show or a shirt that you are wearing from the trip you are talking about) you will be considered a visual presentation. Anyone wanting more information on visual presentations please talk to Kyla. There are different time limits for these.

Don't forget about the Halloween Dance on Friday October 24 from 7:00 - 10:00. All kids must be accompanied by an adult.

Congratulations to all members and a big Thank you to the leaders for a great year in 4-H. A reminder to those members with incomplete projects - the last day to hand your project into Kyla is April 29. Please call me if you need to make arrangements to get the information to me.



Our Town Clean up will be moved to May 31 because of the town wide garage sale on the 24th.



June 7 - Rally day in Carman - please attend



June 21 - Parade in Roland - please attend

We had our last meeting of the year last night.

Achievement Set up is April 14 from 4:00 - 6:00 maybe 6:30. There is no school on the 14th so everyone will have to get a ride to the hall. Supper will be provided.

For Achievement every family needs to bring 1 doz cookies as well as a silent auction prize. These can be brought to the hall on the 14th.

Achievement Night is April 15. All members are asked to come for 6:30. Doors will open at 6:45. All Members and Leaders need to be in black pants and shoes. T-Shirts will be handed out that night and returned after the program.

Town Clean up is on May 24 - meet at the church at 9:00. More information to follow.

Rally in Carman is on June 7. All members are asked to please try to attend this fun event!! More information to follow.

February 16th - from 7:00 - 8:30 is our Family Night at the rink in Roland. We will be skating and everyone is to bring potluck snacks for after skating.

On February 23 at the Rink from 9:00 - 2:00 our club will be having a Bake Sale. All 4-H families are asked to bring 3 or more items to the rink by 8:30 Saturday morning. As stated in the letter that went home in September all members are expected to take part in fundraising for the club or you will be asked to pay a fee. We are still looking for workers at the Bake table. If you are interested and can help out please give Kyla a call.

Just a reminder to everyone that Achievement is April 14. Time is slowly running out to finish your project.

We had our speeches last night and everyone did a fantastic job!! Congratulations to those members chosen to go on to the Red River Area Speeches held in Morden on March 8.

Don't forget about the 9, 10 & 11 Year Old Camp in February. Deadline to register is February 9. If you need more information please call Kyla.

Red River Area is hosting a Curling Fun Spiel on February 16 beginning at 9:00 a.m. The cost is $5.00. Please call Kyla to Register by January 31. This is a first annual and should be lots of fun.

Our Family Fun Night is tentatively scheduled for February 16 if the curling event is not in the evening. I will keep you posted.

We are in the process of pricing out our new uniforms and will be having a fundraiser in February to help us pay for these. Stay tuned for more information.
